  • Police are searching for his killer
  • Victim's missing car: 2013 black Hyundai, with a Florida tag 113VFT

Whoever is responsible for McGoff's death may even be driving his missing 2013 black Hyundai Sonata with Florida tag 113VFT.

Those who knew McGoff said he was loved by all.

“He’s lived his life helping people as employment and he does the same on his personal and private time," neighbor Shawna Smith said. “I was very, very scared. Very scared.  You don’t think this is going to happen to you or in your neighborhood."

Neighbors said it was McGoff’s co-workers who called police after he didn’t show up to work Monday.

According to police, McGoff was last seen on Sunday, the day before the welfare check.

Smith said she’s just hoping for justice for this family and for the man known for his big smile, and even bigger heart.

“Major loss," she added. "I hope that his family and his close friends find some comfort knowing that he will be missed and he touched a lot of, a lot of lives."

McGoff’s family released this statement:

“Thank you for recognizing Leslie's accomplishments and his good work in the community. He has touched many lives in his 30 years of nursing. He will be greatly missed."
