Trader Joe's has issued a recall on certain hummus products due to a possible listeria contamination.

Trader Joe's Mediterranean Hummus and White Bean & Basil Hummus are the products in question. The company says all potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed.
The company is warning consumers that those specific hummus products with "USE BY" dates up through and including 12/15/2016 and a plant identification code "C," have the potential to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
The company is encouraging consumers to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.
