A 16-year-old Winter Haven High School student was killed Thursday morning in a traffic crash.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the accident occurred around 6:40 a.m. at Snell Road and Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road.
Officials said a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided with a Chevrolet 3500 flatbed truck in the intersection before striking a tree.
The driver of the pickup truck - Bailey Tilley, 16, of Lake Wales - was transported to Bartow Regional Medical Center where he died.
The driver and three passengers of the flatbed truck were all transported to Bartow Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants included, Liopoldo Cisneros, 35, Vincente Vasquez, 30, Alfredo Cisneros, 33, and Gilberto Avilla, 29.
Officials say neither excessive speed nor impairment of the surviving driver appear to be a factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
