According to detectives, a 15-year-old girl was walking home Friday from Seminole High School when she saw a man she didn’t recognize near Oakhurst Road and 58th Avenue North.

Detectives say the suspect hid behind a bush and waited for a school crossing guard to leave the area before he started walking towards the teen. Nervous, they say she began to walk faster, but the suspect followed.

He came up behind her and slapped her on the behind with his hand.

She ran, but again he followed, jogging behind her for about a half mile. He never caught up to her, though, and investigators say he was last seen around 9130 Oakhurst Road.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40 to 50 years of age, thin build, with gray hair, a beard, wearing a yellow t-shirt, white shorts, and white sneakers.

Detectives worked with the victim to provide a composite sketch of the suspect.
