Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay area weather heading into the work week:

  • Fog possible overnight
  • Lows in the 60s
  • Showers move in Monday afternoon

Skies will be partly cloudy tonight. Fog will be more likely, since dew points have been moving up.

Lows will be near 60 north to upper 60s around Tampa Bay.

For Monday, winds become southerly and it will be breezy. Humidity will increase. Showers will move into the Nature Coast from the Gulf by afternoon. By evening the rain chance will increase for Tampa Bay.

A low pressure system will take shape in the western Gulf of Mexico Monday and move northeast across the southeast U.S. Tuesday with abundant moisture being drawn northward ahead of it.

This return of deep moisture will lead to a chance of showers for later Monday with best chances across the Nature Coast and coastal waters.

During Monday night and Tuesday, the cold front will move toward the area leading to our first decent chance of rain across the entire region in almost two months. There will be scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm. It will be breezy to windy with hazardous boating conditions.

The front will move through late Tuesday and Tuesday night bringing an end to the rain. However, another cold front will move toward and across the region Thursday and Thursday night bringing a chance of a few more showers.  Behind this second front much cooler drier air is expected to overspread the Florida at the end of the week, along with breezy conditions
