Here's what you need to know about the Tampa Bay area's weather for Thursday night into Friday:

  • Temperatures drop quickly
  • Friday morning not as cold

Skies will be clear overnight into early Friday morning, but there will be some areas of patchy fog in northern counties near sunrise.

That fog will burn off very quickly after sunrise.

Temperatures will be cool for Friday morning, but not as chilly as Thursday morning.

The lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s for northern counties, upper 40s to near 50 around Tampa bay, and low to mid 40s inland.

Friday will be the nicest day we have seen in a long time. After the cool start, the afternoon will end up being warmer with highs around 70. Beach areas will feel the coolest due to the influence of the cooler water temperatures, while inland areas east of I-75 will get into the low to mid 70s. Sky conditions will be sunny all day long.

Friday night will be nice with clear skies and milder lows in the 50s.

Saturday will feature a fast passing front, but it will be a dry front with just some passing clouds. It will result in a breezy north wind but otherwise will not make a huge difference to our weather as highs will still be in the mid to upper 60s.
