Here's what you need to know about the Tampa Bay area's weather:

High pressure centered over the mid-Atlantic is keeping dry and stable conditions in place.

Overnight and Monday, upper level energy will move through the plains and into the southeastern U.S. dragging a cold front through the central Gulf of Mexico.

Low level winds will shift to the southeast by morning then south ahead of this front bringing slightly more moisture into the area.  Since the dew points will move up, it will not be as cold Monday morning.

Expect lows in the low to mid 50s around Tampa bay to upper 40s for citrus and Hernando counties.

Clouds will increase on Monday.  There will be a slight chance of a couple light showers over the interior late Monday afternoon with the heat of the day.

Temperatures will be a several degrees higher with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Surface high pressure ridging from the Atlantic will move out into the Atlantic and surface winds will become southerly later on Monday ahead of an approaching cold front.    Fast moving upper level energy approaching Florida will pass by early Tuesday and pull the cold front across the area.   The front will bring showers and isolated thunderstorms to the area Monday night, starting with the nature coast.  Rain is more likely north of Tampa bay, closer to the upper energy.  Showers will clear Polk County early on Tuesday.

The cold front will move through quickly early Tuesday with weak high pressure behind it.  A secondary dry front will pass early Wednesday with a larger area of high pressure moving to the north of the area Thursday keeping skies mostly sunny.  The air mass is not that cool, so temperatures will not drop much below normal.   Expect a warming trend into the weekend.

After Tuesday morning, rain chances drop to around zero through the weekend.
