A Manatee County is in critical condition after an early-morning crash Tuesday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kylie Lewis, 26, was injured when her Chevrolet Impala ended up wedged under a semi truck on the Interstate 75 entrance ramp from US 301.

Troopers said Lewis, of Parrish, was driving southbound on US 301 just before 2:30 a.m. when she ran a red light and collided with the semi, which was making a left turn on to the I-75 entrance ramp.

Lewis remains at Blake Medical Center.

The semi driver, Mudasar Abid, 26, was not injured.
