Here's what you need to know about the Tampa Bay area's weather for the weekend:

  • Cool, cloudy tonight
  • Some showers late Saturday, Sunday
  • Windy again Monday

There will be partly cloudy skies tonight. Low temperatures will be in the upper 30s to low 40s in our northern counties and the mid to upper 40s in Tampa Bay.

High pressure is in the southeast U.S. with north winds becoming northeast tonight.

An area of low pressure will develop off the southeast Florida coast Saturday and will quickly intensify as it lifts northeast Sunday.

We will have increasing clouds tomorrow, with a chance of scattered showers beginning in the afternoon and continuing Saturday night. The rain chance is 40 percent. Highs will be in the low 60s on Saturday.

It will become mostly sunny on Sunday. It will be windy and chilly, with high temperatures in the upper 50s.

Next week, a deep trough will be in place across the eastern U.S. and allow for below normal temperatures throughout the week.
