Here's what you need to know about the Tampa Bay area's weather for Sunday:

  • Chilly morning
  • Monday highs in 60s

Temperatures will be falling through morning, especially with lighter winds. Patchy frost will be possible over portions of the nature coast and interior sections of the peninsula, especially in low lying and protected areas.

Temperatures will make it into the mid-30s for Citrus and Hernando counties to mid-40s around Tampa Bay.

For Monday, expect very pleasant conditions early with highs getting into the 60s. Mostly sunny skies will give way to increasing clouds through the afternoon hours as

Another strong front approaches. Some very light showers may occur along/behind the front starting with the nature coast Monday evening.

However, given the very deep dry air mass in place little in the way of measurable precipitation is expected. Winds will begin to increase significantly heading into the late afternoon and evening hours.

With the front still clearing the area Monday night, lows will only be a few degrees below normal, ranging from near 40 for the nature coast, to around 50 Tampa Bay.

However a tight pressure gradient behind the front will keep conditions on Tuesday windy, mostly cloudy and rather cool with northwest to west winds and highs topping out in the mid to upper 50s. Any sprinkles to light showers will end early in the day.

Temperatures drop back down Tuesday night into the mid-40s around Tampa Bay to mid-30s for the nature coast.

Winds begin to taper off on Wednesday afternoon and clouds will decrease. Highs still will only be in the upper 50s.

Thursday starts out very chilly with lows again in the low to mid 40s around Tampa Bay to mid-30s for the nature coast.  More sunshine will still only push the highs into the upper 50s.

Temperatures will be around normal by Saturday.
