A piece of valuable glass art stolen from the Chihuly Gallery has been recovered, according to police.

St. Petersburg Police say someone made off with the art, valued at $25,000, at some point Sunday when the gallery was open to the public. A member of the cleaning crew noticed it was missing Monday morning.

The stolen artwork was recovered Tuesday morning. Police say an employee of the Morean Arts Center discovered a box in front of the gallery that contained the stolen glass art.

Police say the artwork was identified and does not appear to be damaged.

Investigators are reviewing video and interviewing witnesses right now.
