A store just for teachers just opened in Hernando County.

It's full of classroom supplies and more, but what makes it special is that everything in it is free.

The new Tools 4 Schools store is on the campus of Springstead High School. The county's teachers can stop by once a month and grab supplies for their classrooms.

High school teacher Chris Auricchio says he can't believe a place like this exists.

"We had heard about it at the beginning of the year, but I didn't expect it to be like this," he said.

Tammy Brinker with the Hernando County Education Foundation, which set everything up, says teachers can easily spend $500 to $600 a year of their own money on supplies. But the store aims to change that.

"It is completely funded through donations and sponsors throughout our county," Brinker said.

The Hernando County Education Foundation is always looking for donations so they can keep the free store open.
