The golf world has seen what a win at the Valspar Championship can do to springboard a great season on the PGA Tour.

Last year, Jordan Spieth followed his victory with four more wins, including two major titles. This year, several of the other top-ranked players in the world hope to catch that lightning in a bottle on the Cooperhead Course at Innisbrook.

Henrik Stenson, Patrick Reed, and Spieth all come to Innisbrook ranked in the top ten in the world. The field also includes 20 major championship winners, from old veterans like Vijay Singh to younger, more recent champs like Keegan Bradley.

With the Masters just a month away, several players will use this week as part of their tuneup.

"I'm a believer that good golf leads to more good golf," said 7-time PGA winner Matt Kuchar. "The better the result this week, that will lead to a better result next week, the week after that and into Augusta."

Golfers will compete for a $1.1 million first-place prize this week in Palm Harbor.

If this year’s tournament has any of the excitement we saw on the 18th green and three playoff holes last year, the fans are in for a prize, too.
