A 66-year-old Crystal River man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash early Wednesday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was struck and killed at 1:25 a.m. on US 19 just south of North Larue-Denise Terrace.
Troopers said the man, whose identity has not been released, was laying in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes.
The driver did not stop.
The pedestrian died at the scene, authorities said.
