Former Republican Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson told Southeastern University graduates in Lakeland Friday night that they need to "think big" about the future.

Delivering the commencement speech at the university's annual graduation ceremony, Carson told the 449 graduates in attendance that he's worried about America's future.
"The divisiveness amongst our people. A house divided against itself cannot stand," said Carson. "The lack of fiscal responsibility - we basically are selling future generations and our failure to take a leadership role on the world stage."
Carson, one of the first GOP hopefuls to endorse Donald Trump after getting out of the race himself on March 4, stood by that choice. He also encouraged all the candidates to "keep it clean."
"I will always continue to preach the idea of civility and that we're not each other's enemies," Carson said.
Carson told the graduates that they need to take control of their own lives.
"The main point I want to get across to the graduates is that you are the person who is in charge of what happens based on the choices you make and the energy you put behind it," he said.
Carson added he has been getting "some pressure" to think about a Vice-Presidential bid or a cabinet position, but right now he feels like he can accomplish more as a "outsider." He is now the National Chairman of the My Faith Votes Initiative.
For his part, Carson thinks Trump will be able to get the delegates he needs to lock up the Republican nomination before the national convention. He called the idea of a contested convention "a disaster."
