Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay's weather for Friday heading into the weekend:

  • Mostly sunny skies for Friday
  • 10 percent chance of isolated showers
  • Scattered showers later today in Polk County

It’s a warm morning with temperatures in the mid 60s to low 70s and light winds. There is patchy fog mainly in our northern counties this morning.

A cold front is in the southeast U.S. while surface high pressure remains in the Atlantic Ocean.

Today will be similar to the past couple of days with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies. There is a 10 percent chance of isolated showers in the afternoon as the sea breeze moves inland from the coast. A few scattered showers or a thunderstorm will be in Polk County later this afternoon and this evening.

High temperatures will be in the mid 80s near the coast and the upper 80s to low 90s inland.

Tonight will be partly cloudy and warm with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Saturday will likely be even warmer with many areas in the upper 80s to low 90s due to the sea breeze staying closer to Tampa Bay and the coast. This will also lead to a 20 to 30 percent chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms tomorrow.

Sunday will be partly sunny and hot again with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
