Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay-area weather for Thursday night into Friday and the weekend:

  • Warm, muggy again Friday morning
  • Mix of sun and clouds
  • 20-30 percent coverage of scattered storms

Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with lows in the low to mid 70s. Patchy fog is possible late.

Friday will have a similar pattern with the same onshore breeze. It will keep us warm and muggy for the morning,  but will keep our highs close to normal for the afternoon.

Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with a 20 to 30 percent coverage of scattered storms. Again, the best chance will end up east of I-75 by the afternoon to evening.

High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to near 90 inland.  Late Friday evening there will be a chance of additional showers and storms making it to the coast from the Gulf.

There will be an uptick in atmospheric moisture for Saturday, resulting in a higher coverage of scattered storms, likely up to about 50 percent.  Highs will again be in the upper 80s to near 90.

Saturday night will feature lows in the low to mid 70s with a few isolated storms still possible.

A rare late may front is on the way for Sunday.  It will swing through early, so we might see a lingering shower early, but then the atmosphere will dry out that afternoon along with dropping humidity. There will be a drier breeze from the northwest that afternoon - you will notice a change in the way it feels outside by Sunday evening.
