Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay's weather for Monday:

  • Summer-like temperatures continue
  • A few stray showers in the afternoon and evening
  • The sea breeze will develop and will push inland just a little faster than Sunday

The Bay area's warm weather will continue for two more days before changes come up midweek.

Monday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, very warm again with highs near 90. A sea breeze will keep it cooler along the coast. The sea breeze front will trigger a few afternoon and evening showers and storms, mainly inland. Overall coverage of the showers today will be relatively minimal.

Tomorrow will be similar but the coverage of the inland storms will increase a little bit.

On Wednesday, a cold front will approach the area, along with a change in the overall weather pattern in the eastern United States. With an active jet stream and an upper level low over the eastern U.S., and increasing moisture here, we have a good chance of widespread rainfall and some embedded stronger storms on Wednesday.

After that, cooler air with much lower humidity will come in to end the week and for next weekend.
