A Clearwater man says vandals have struck his home and it’s all because of his Donald Trump signs - especially the one painted on his house.

  • Clearwater homeowner Craig Sarvis says home vandalized due to Trump signs
  • Sarvis says the hate for Trump is just as real
  • He’s offering a $2,500 reward for any tips

The love Craig Sarvis has for Donald Trump is definitely real and you can tell by the endless supply of Trump signs at his home.

"I think Trump is the person that will come in and shake things up and get things done," Sarvis said.

The outspoken Trump supporter says the hate for Trump is just as real.

It’s clearly visible on the Trump sign he hand painted on his house that someone spray painted all over.

Craig Sarvis says his home has been vandalized due to his Trump signs and support. He is offering a reward for tips leading to an arrest.

"I’d taken a lot of time and a lot of effort," Sarvis said. "I wanted it to kind of look nice. I didn’t want to destroy the neighborhood and put something out there that was wild and bizzare.

"So I just tried to make it really simple and to the point and just elect Trump."

Sarvis says the vandalism doesn’t end there. He’s had to put some of his signs inside of his house because people kept stealing them. Someone also keyed and spray painted the back of his truck. They also threw eggs at his home, hitting the signs in the windows.

Sarvis says he isn’t saying it’s a Democrat or as Never Trump supporter. But he says he isn’t going to stand for this and he’s sure the Republican front-runner wouldn’t either.

"If he was standing here today, no telling what he would say," Sarvis said. "I can’t even begin to think what he would say but he’s more than welcome to come here and hold a rally."

That isn’t the only offer he’s putting out there. He’s also offering a $2,500 reward for any tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the vandals. It’s a hefty chunk of change that he says is worth it.

Sarvis says he has filed a police report.

He plans to pass out reward flyers, repaint his sign and install a surveillance system.
