A low pressure area centered between Bermuda and the Bahamas is gradually becoming better organized.

Whether or not this system develops, it should have no impact on our weather here on the west coast of Florida.

It appears a tropical or subtropical depression might be forming. It will move toward the west-northwest or northwest toward the Southeastern United States coast through the weekend.

If it becomes tropical or sub-tropical storm, the next name on the list is Bonnie. Remember, there was a brief system on the other side of the Atlantic last January.

An Air Force reconnaissance plane is scheduled to investigate the system Friday.
