St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue is reporting one person is dead and 2 others injured in a boat collision in St. Petersburg Friday night.
St. Pete Fire & Rescue units responded to a call of a boating accident around 9:45 p.m. at 600 8th Avenue SE. When units arrived, they found two boats had collided in a nearby marina.
Officials say five people were involved in the incident. Two people -- Matthew Mann, 40, and Chad Angell, 58 -- were injured and transported to Bayfront Medical. A third person, Philip Stock, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission agents are leading the investigation into the accident.
