St. Pete Police took Christopher Ivey, 49, into custody on Friday. Ivey faces charges of Felony Petit Theft and Criminal Mischief.

On May 22, Ivey reportedly became frustrated while playing the game, located inside Teresa's Food Mart at 2601 30th Avenue North. When he didn't win after repeated attempts, he walked back out to his vehicle, came back in a short time later, and played the game one more time.

When Ivey failed to win again, he took a sledgehammer out from under his shirt and smashed the front glass of the game. Ivey then stole over $70 in cash from inside the machine and fled the store. The entire incident was captured on the store's video surveillance system. (Watch the video below.)

Police reported that Ivey has a prior criminal record -- he was arrested in 1990 for an armed bank robbery and served 18 years in prison.
