More than 200 runners, including two wounded warriors on hand cycles, competed in 10k and 5k races and a one mile walk.

All proceeds benefited Hope For The Warriors, which helps veterans with their physical, mental and familial health.

"Our mission is to restore a sense of self, hope, family and we do that in a variety of different ways,” Steve Bartomioli, Director of Team Hope For The Warriors, said.

Retired Army Sergeant Edwin Quiros was one of the wounded warriors who participated in the race.

"After I started cycling, it changed completely, my life,” Quiros said.

Quiros badly injured his left leg in an ATV crash in 2007.

"I was sitting in the house and couch not doing anything, taking medication, I was going crazy,” Quiros said.

Quiros now has goals of cycling in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

"It’s a pretty big goal, but I am pushing it,” Quiros said.
