Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay's weather for Tuesday:

  • Warm, muggy day
  • Temperatures won't get as hot due to an onshore breeze
  • A rare strong cold front is on the way for Wednesday morning

Today will be similar to yesterday but with an onshore wind, more humidity is in place.

This afternoon expect showers and storms to develop inland and move eastward. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

By Wednesday, a cold front will move through the area, along with a change in the overall weather pattern in the eastern United States.

With an active jet stream and an upper level low over the eastern U.S., and increasing moisture here, we have a good chance of widespread rainfall and some embedded stronger storms on Wednesday.

The best chance will occur early in the day.

After that, cooler air with much lower humidity will come in to end the week and for next weekend.
