Vice President Joe Biden is headed to Tampa for a Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce event on Wednesday, May 11.

Biden’s remarks will reportedly focus on his vision for U.S. policy in the Western Hemisphere.

The meeting will be held at The University of Tampa at 401 W. Kennedy Blvd. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event, which is by invitation only, will begin at 12:15 p.m.

According to Chamber President and CEO Bob Rohrlack, chamber members are looking forward to the special guest appearence.

“We are excited to host Vice President Biden’s remarks next week,” he said. “The Chamber has worked diligently to represent Tampa’s business community at the local, state and federal level and his visit to address our members is a testament to Tampa’s increasing stature on the global stage.”

After his talk, Biden, along with his wife Jill Biden, will travel to Orlando for the 2016 Invictus Games. The Invictus Games is an international adaptive sporting event for wounded, injured and ill services members and veterans.
