A handyman accused of murdering a Dover couple is back in Hillsborough County.

Michael Herald, 48, was arrested in Kentucky on first-degree murder charges in the deaths of John and Nancy Engelhart.

Deputies say the couple's bodies were found in a shed at their home on April 14. A neighbor had reported that the couple had not been seen in a few days, and that their mail was stacked on top of the mailbox. The couple's car was missing from the carport.

A warrant was issued for Herald's arrest, and he was taken into custody the following day in Hazard, Kentucky. Officials say he was driving the couple's stolen white Ford Explorer.

Herald has been booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder and armed burglary of a dwelling.
