Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen an armed robbery in Winter Haven early Sunday morning.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. on First Street N near Lake Silver and Lee Avenue NE.
Police say the two men were walking southbound along the sidewalk when two other men crossed 1st Street and forced the men to the ground at gunpoint, then robbed them.
Several cars passed the robbery as it happened, and so investigators are asking anyone who was in the area who happened to see the incident to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
