Here's what you need to know about Tampa Bay's weather for late Friday night into the weekend:

The upper level low that is responsible for our cool weather will continue to stay over the Mid-Atlantic region through Saturday. This will help to keep the cool air in place for the east coast all the way down to Florida.

At the surface, high pressure centered over the lower Mississippi Valley will gradually settle south to over the western Gulf through Saturday. This will keep north to northwest winds across the state.
Temperatures will be below normal with lows tonight in the upper 40s north, to near 60 Tampa Bay.

Saturday will be breezy again, with north winds becoming northwest. Skies will again be sunny. Highs will also stay below normal in the upper 70s to around 80 to 81.
As the high moves into the area on Sunday, winds will become light. A sea breeze will return, and the upper low to the north will move away into the Atlantic.
The cool air will also slip away. Sunday will start out cool, but high temperatures will return to normal.
