The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a man was found in a community pool in New Port Richey.
A 22-year-old man was found unresponsive in the pool located at 7510 Winpole Drive.
When Deputies arrived, they pulled the man from the pool and began CPR efforts. The Pasco Fire Rescue arrived a short time later.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after he could not be revived.
Deputies say it appears to be an accidental drowning and drugs and/or alcohol could be a factor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
