St. Pete Police: Driver killed pedestrian, ran from scene

St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident.

• Crash happened at MLK Street and 22nd Avenue South
• Driver abandoned car, fled on foot, police say

A man was hit by a Chrysler 300 on Monday afternoon at MLK Street and 22nd Avenue South.

The victim died at the scene.

Police say the driver abandoned the vehicle and ran from the scene.
