For Jennifer Bradley, each day contains a shopping list of challenges: personal and community.

The ‘community’ part began two years ago when on a group Facebook page she read a plea for help from a mom who had lost her job.

“She had simply asked for some shampoo and personal items for this family, her neighbors, and out of about a hundred responses, 99 percent of them were just rude,” Bradley said.

For Bradley, the response was unacceptable.

So she created a Facebook page called ‘Random Acts of Kindness Pasco and Hernando County Florida.

Since then, a great many families in need have felt the generosity of their community, from things like clothing and health care items to presents for children at Christmas and lots more.

It keeps Bradley going.

“It makes me feel like I have a purpose. And I’ve lost a lot with health issues and I can’t do nearly what I used to do,” Bradley said.

Bradley has constant pain and fatigue caused by lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, narcolepsy and fibromyalgia.

Her beloved service dog, Piper, is always by her side.

“She’s amazing," said Bradley. "She won’t even go out with the kids and go potty or run around if she knows I’m anxious or if I’m going to flare up. She’ll stay right by me."

A wife and mom and new grandmother, for Bradley, the days are not long enough and her philosophy is clear.

“If you don’t have some kind of purpose in your life, what is there? I mean I just couldn’t imagine not helping someone,” Bradley said.
