Sarasota Police Department detectives have arrested a man on charges of possession of child pornography.

John Michael Pyle, 59, of Sarasota was arrested and charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography early Friday.
Detectives received three separate cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A search warrant was then executed at Pyle's apartment.
Sarasota detectives worked with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office to conduct an initial investigation of any computer or cell phone found on the property. They found more than 10 images and/or videos of child pornography, investigators said, which qualifies for a second degree felony.
Additional charges are possible as the case remains under investigation.
