Friday morning a Sarasota man was charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography.

Sarasota Police detectives said John M. Pyle had 48 photos of child pornography in his possession – two depicting sexual conduct, thirty one without sexual conduct, and two containing children in bondage.
The search was prompted by three cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited children that included seven pornographic images of children.
Because Pyke had more than 10 images of child pornography his charges could escalate to a second degree felony under Florida State Statute 775.0847.
The case is still being investigated, and more charges could be added.
