Two people were injured Saturday morning after a man cut a woman in the hand before stabbing himself in the chest, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. at a residence in the 400 block of 2nd Avenue in Dunedin.

According to responding deputies, the man cut the woman’s hand with a knife during an argument.  He then used the knife to stab himself in the chest.

The man was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.
