One might say a politician’s favorite past time is accusing an opponent of lying.

That’s exactly what the Republican presumptive presidential nominee says a U.S. Senator is doing.

In a tweet sent out in May, Donald Trump said, “Elizabeth Warren lied when she says I want to abolish the federal minimum wage.”

PolitiFact Florida heard the claim and gave it a MOSTLY FALSE rating.

Writer Josh Gillin said the claim received the rating because of a statement Trump made earlier this year.

“In May, actually, Trump had just been on Meet the Press and just told Chuck Todd how he felt about the federal minimum wage.  Todd asked him should there be a federal minimum wage and Trump said no,” Gillin said.

He went on to say Trump told Todd state’s should set the minimum wage level.

For that reason, the Truth-O-Meter rated Trump’s claim MOSTLY FALSE.
