Cousins dead in apparent murder-suicide in St. Pete

Two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide in St. Peterbsurg.

Shortly before 6 p.m., police say neighbors heard multiple shots at 1900 1/2 MLK Street North.

When police arrived, they found Sandra Sanchez, 39, on the front porch of the home. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. Sanchez was transported to Bayfront Health where she later died. 

David DeCastro, 45, was found dead in the home. Officers say his gunshot wounds appeared to be self-inflicted.

According to police, DeCastro and Sanchez were cousins.
