The Willie Taggart DGA Camp will kick off Tuesday, July 19 at Lincoln Park, 501 17th Street East in Palmetto.

The one-day camp is the brainchild of USF football Willie Taggart. Along with his staff, Coach Taggart says he’ll be teaching young players the fundamentals of football.
“This is where I grew up, so it’s important to go back and tell these kids they need to dream big,” Taggart said. “Football has been everything to me; it gave me an opportunity to fulfill my dreams and hopefully it can fulfill some of those other kids’ dreams.”
The fields where the camp is being held are right across the street from Taggart’s childhood home.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., the football camp will be held from 9 a.m. until noon.
The camp is free and open to students entering grades first through eighth. Lunch and T-shirts will be available for sale. Campers are encouraged to register at USFFootballCamps.com.
