Investigators at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department are looking into a single car crash that occurred just after 4 a.m. Wednesday in Indian Shores.
- Ronald Barlett, 54, was driving he colided with a wooden pole
- No other vehicles involved in the crash
- He was flown to Bayfront Medical with life-threatening injuries
According to reports, Ronald Barlett, 54, was driving in the 18300 Block of Gulf Boulevard when he collided with a wooded power pole.
Deputies say Bartlett was traveling southbound when, for an unknown reason, he left the roadway and drove into a pole on the west side of the roadway.
He sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to Bayfront Medical Center for medical treatment.
No one else was injured, deputies say, and the investigation is ongoing.
