Anita Balch, 75, of Plant City, is in Philadelphia volunteering for the Democratic National Convention.

It’s been on her bucket list for years to attend one.

“Now, I can check it off and say, 'Been there, done that,'” Balch said.

Balch took the train from Plant City to be a volunteer.

Although she doesn’t officially start her duties until Monday, Balch can’t wait to get started. She said she’s admired Hillary Clinton since 1993.

“I’ve watched people beat up on her. She never gives up. That’s my role model for my life,” she said.

The only thing that would make this better is to get a ticket inside to see Clinton accept the nomination.
