Katie Schulze, 20, is working in the press briefing room for the Democratic National Convention this week. It's part of her summer college internship.
She is thrilled to have the opportunity.
“It's extremely exciting,” Schulze said. “This is more than I ever could have dreamed of. It's a great opportunity, especially at 20 years old.”
Schulze said she loves seeing democracy at work. She is looking forward to a career in political communications one day. She attends Florida State University.
