The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 3-year-old girl drowned in a swimming pool.

Deputies responded shortly before 10:30 a.m. Friday to a home in the 3200 block of Henrietta Place.
When they arrived, they found the girl at the bottom of the swimming pool.
The child was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where she died. Detectives think the drowning was accidental.
At the time of the incident, three children under the age of 6, including the victim, were being supervised by their 16-year-old cousin, authorities said.
No names have been released, and no further information was immediately available.
