A man was arrested, accused of sexually assaulting a pregnant woman on the side of the road, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

It happened at around 9 a.m. Friday near a construction site at 49th Street North and 150th Avenue North.
According to PSCO, Jacob Johnson, 26, attacked the woman as she was walking down 49th Street. Johnson punched the woman and began shouting profanities. He then pinned the woman to the ground with one arm and removed her pants with the other, deputies said.
The woman, who deputies say is at least eight months pregnant, screamed for help.
A construction worker ran over and scared Johnson away. He was arrested a block away from the scene.
Johnson was taken to the Pinellas County Jail and charged with aggravated sexual battery.
