Authorities in Hillsborough County are investigating a set of brazen burglaries that appear to have been committed by the same two individuals.
- Suspects entered two homes
- 60-inch TV, car among items stolen
- Video surveillance captured the suspects in the act
The burglaries occurred on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, July 2.
In both break-ins, the suspects entered the victims’ homes while they were sleeping and managed to make off with large objects — including a 60-inch television and a car — while the victims were upstairs.
The car is possibly either a station wagon or a red 2015 Fore Escape, with a Florida license plate of 897 TIW.
Video surveillance captured both incidents.
Deputies say in addition to a car and the television that were stolen, the two Brandon homes that were burglarized lost a laptop computer and a purse.
In one case, the suspects gained entry into the home through a sliding glass door — in the other, a rear window.
The June burglary was at 1615 Prowmore Drive, Brandon, and the July incident was at 313 Summer Clouds Place, Brandon.
The suspects are two black males, between 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, about 155 to 175 pounds and were wearing T-shirts, shorts and sneakers, authorities stated.
