Thunderstorms marched westward across the state and toward the gulf as expected. Skies will clear overnight into the morning.

  • Quiet mornings, wet afternoons/evenings
  • Better coverage on our side of state
  • Rain chances 50 percent Wednesday

Lows will be in the mid to upper 70s.

The pattern we will be in the next few days will feature quiet mornings with afternoon to evening storms moving west toward the gulf.

In this type of pattern the best coverage of storms is on our side of the state. The wind from the east pushes the showers and storms from the Atlantic toward us.

But in this pattern we tend to be hotter since the storms don’t arrive until later in the the day. So expect highs in the low to mid 90s.

The rain coverage will be at 50 percent for Wednesday.
