"The amount of space really is our 600 square mile area of Pinellas County, that’s our operating sector and we’re gonna be out there getting any of these Aedes aegypti wherever they pop up," said Rob Krueger with Pinellas County Mosquito Control.

On Wednesday three new travel-related cases of Zika were added to the list. There is currently one non travel-related case. The county says it has a boots-to-the-ground effort to battle the mosquito-borne illness.

"If we hit at the larvae stage and the adult stage we’re going for a complete total package of eradication and try to get the job secured that way," said Krueger. “It’s always important to note that it's a control and not a complete eradication, and so that's why we depend on our service calls and follow up to make sure we’ve gotten everything we can."

Federal and State agencies have not released the location of the non-travel case. Congressman David Jolly says the community should be empowered with more information.

"Let the people of Pinellas know where the location might be, what the possibility of it spreading could be, and let families make decisions that they believe are right for themselves," said Representative Jolly.

Meantime, the county says it encourages residents to eliminate any standing water on their property while crews continue to treat, but don’t expect any type of spray schedule.

"We have to hit areas where we know that the breeding and the mosquitoes are. That changes daily," said Krueger.
