There were no injuries reported Friday morning when a small plane had to abort takeoff at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport.
According to airport officials, the twin-engine Cessna 310 had just left a hangar and was starting to taxi when its nose gear collapsed.
The crippled plane created a brief emergency situation and prompted a haz mat response among the emergency crews that responded.
The situtation is being investigated.
