Two Port Richey men were arrested after one of them fired shots at deputies Friday, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies went to a home in the 8000 block of Congress Street to serve a search warrant. The sheriff’s office says Kalomo Kamu Sr., 61, fired “at least one round” as deputies attemed to enter the home. Kamu’s son, Kalomo Kamu Jr., 34, was also inside the home, where deputies say they found three shotguns, more than 200 grams of crack cocaine and $6,000.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center.

Kamu Sr. faces charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a controlled substance. Kamu Jr. faces three counts of sale and possession of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a child care facility, six counts of unlawful use of a two-way communication device and three counts of trafficking crack cocaine.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office no one was injured during the incident.
