The man suspected in a deadly shooting at a Tarpon Springs motel has been taken into custody, according to the Tarpon Police Department.

Officers found Fredrick Bentley in the 1000 block of Magnolia Drive in Clearwater. He was seen walking in the roadway and taking into custody “without incident,” police said.

According to investigators, Bentley is accused of a homicide that occurred on Saturday at a motel located at 57 West Tarpon Avenue.

Police were able to obtain a search warrant for the motel room and found a gun inside. It was seized as evidence.

Bentley has been take to the Pinellas County Jail.
