For a brief time over the weekend some test election data inadvertently appeared on baynews9.com displaying results for the Citrus County Sheriff’s race.
Baynews9.com routinely tests randomly generated election test data for weeks leading up to an election to make sure the system is working properly for election night reporting. The test data was viewable for a time on Saturday but was removed when we were alerted it was visible on the website.
We apologize to the candidates and sincerely regret this error.
