Hernando County authorities have classified a death at the Holiday Inn Express in Spring Hill as a homicide.
Detectives say it does not appear to be a random act of violence.

Hernando Sheriff's detectives and forensics specialists responded to the Holiday Inn Express, located at 3528 Commercial Way, Thursday morning.
First responders arrived on the scene shortly after 3 a.m.
By 6 a.m., guests say they were being woken up by detectives asking if they had heard or saw anything unusual.
Hotel management said in a brief statement that the safety of their guests is a top priority, and that they'll be doing everything possible to fully cooperate with authorities.
Detectives have identified the male victim and are currently working to notify next of kin.
